Smyrna

Smyrna is an alright skate park. It is usually not crowded if you go during the week and it's free. Helmets and pads arn't required. The set up is really simple. It has a 2 foot mini pipe which is good for practicing new tricks. It also has a 4 foot pipe for once your warmed up. There are two bank ramps facing each other with a fun box in the middle of them. There's also a nice grind box and a few rails. The address is 380 N. Main Street, Smyrna, DE 19977.

Newport

Newport was recently redone. Goodbye bowl and 12 foot vert-pipe...hello kids on scooters. Not many skaters go here anymore, but it is still a fun park. In my humble opinion, it has the best mini-pipe in Delaware. It cost $5 for a "half" session and $10 for a "full" session. ECX skate shop is 5 mins away. Fridays are the legendary Midnight Skate. For $10 you can skate until midnight and the park will buys every one two slices of pizza and a soda. Not bad if you can manage to skate with all the 50 other kids riding scooters...

Cool park, but it's kind of hard to find. You do have to wear a helmet, sometimes there are some you can borrow.

POPS Skate Space

Philly's newest skate park, POPS is a breath of fresh air. You'll find a unique setup here. This is NOT a beginner's park. You can set up really sweet lines.

Delaware City

This is Delaware's smallest skate park. On the bright side, it's free, it never gets crowded (how could it), and helmets/pads arn't required. It's basically just a wild fun box, a grind box and a rail. If your in Delaware City, it's fun to skate for an hour or so. The speed limit in town is 25mph and the cops will give you a ticket, so either don't speed or don't get caught!

Elkton

This park is a last resort. They charge to get in, you need to sign a waiver each time to enter, and you need full pads.

Milford

This park is a lot like Chi skate park as far as the set up...the only difference is you have to pay to get in. It's $15 for a yearly registration (waver required) and $5 for every session after that. The park is almost always empty, so if your willing to pay you will have the park to yourself. Hours: Mon-Sat: 10 - 6; Sun: 12 - 6; Closed during bad weather. Call the owner, Judy, at 302-422-2840 for more information. It's really easy to find. When your on Route 1, take the Milford exit which is simply business Route 1. Smack in the middle of town is the "Putt-a-rose" batting cages and skate park.
